New Page

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: 1st July 2010:The Thai MK restaurant franchise chain made its debut in Vietnam with the opening of an outlet in HCM City. Famous for its Thai suki (a hotpot of fresh meat and vegetables), MK is a restaurant chain that offers a mixture of Thai and Chinese cuisine. It has 300 outlets in Thailand and 30 in Japan.

The first MK outlet in Viet Nam has been opened under a franchising agreement with the Gigate Corporation. The company plans to open 10 more outlets in the coming time.

Mk Restaurants Franchise has been contemplating overseas expansion, as of now, it plans to expand its franchise business to countries in South East Asia. One of the drawbacks of such concepts in South Asia, is the high percentage of vegetarian population especially in India. Hence, it is essential that such restaurants look at localising and then expand more aggressively.
