Have you ever dreamt of dessert so sinful; you might even gain a few pounds by just thinking about it? If yes, then here's the best piece of news for you! Global ice cream brand Swensen’s franchise is finally in Bengaluru. Just like Taco Bell opened it's doors at Mantri Mall, so has the Swensens Ice Cream Franchise.

Global ice cream brand Swensen’s has inaugurated its first store in India in Bangalore at Mantri Mall, Malleswaram. Swensen’s, originally from San Francisco USA, is one of the most popular ice cream parlor chains in Asia, having firmly established its franchise in Singapore.

While most ice cream brands in India are primarily focused on serving scoops in a take away format, Swensen’s will provides a unique, fun, dine-in experience where customers will enjoy luxury ice cream sundaes that should be enjoyed sitting down at the table.

“We are happy to open our very first outlet in the country at Bangalore, the IT capital of India. Swensen’s is all about having a great Sundae eating experience with friends and family. Our mission, therefore, is to provide ‘The Ultimate Sundae Experience’ to our customers, who come to Swensen’s for not just eating ice cream. Customers will experience the same international standard of premium ice cream and attentive services as they may expect in every market around the world”, said Paul Charles Kenny, Director and CEO of the Minor Food Group.

“Our R&D team is currently developing 24 new flavors for the Indian market which will be introduced shortly. These flavors combined with 24 existing international flavors will go into 40 varieties of Sundaes plus shakes and beverages currently on offer in our store” he added.

Swensen’s will aim to provide consumers a fun and friendly casual-dining experience with a wide selection of ice cream creations, signature sundaes, coffee and a separate menu designed especially for kids. Many of Swensen's signature products are named after key landmarks of San Francisco where the brand originated in 1948. The Coit Tower, Fire House and of course the infamous earth shattering "Earthquake" are all examples of the hard to resist sundaes which remain as popular today as when they were first invented.

With its passion for sundaes and ceaseless drive to create new and exciting recipes that live up to the Swensen's high standards, customers will find the indulgent sundaes loaded with delicious toppings absolutely irresistible.

Swensen's has entered India via the master franchisee route, this ice cream parlour in Bengaluru is the first of the many that shall open in India. The master franchisee for Swensen is none other than the Pepsi Bottling Franchisee. To know more about the Swensen's Master Franchisee to India, please read it here.

About Swensen’s:

In 1948, Earle Swensen opened his first Ice Cream Shoppe in San Francisco atop Russian Hill offering his ice cream as "Good as Father Used to Make". Little did he realize that Swensen's would go on to become a name synonymous with extraordinary delicious ice cream the world had ever known.

Since then, for more then 60 years, more than 180 flavors of ice cream have been created and enjoyed by both young and old, making Earle Swensen's America's, “Ice Cream Man". Swensen’s was the first national Ice Cream Parlor to serve a premium ice cream that is all natural. The business was built andcontinues to be built on three founding principles that have never changed: Quality, Quantity and Value for Money. From full service, old-fashioned food stores to modern kiosks, to its customers through primarily two formats- Swensen’s restaurant and Swensen’s ice cream parlor.
